THE  RAIFORD  COMMUNITY  SERVICE  AWARD
The  Raiford Community Service  Award  is a private community  based  award  that  recognize local citizens, who foster
good will within their community and have devoted their  life to aiding others.   This  award  is  open to residents in the
Metropolitan area only at this time. It  was  established  to  allow  you  the opportunity to nominate individuals whose
accomplishments or good deeds have gone unnoticed for far too long.

The  Raiford Community Service  Award  acknowledge  these  special  people  as  Heroes.   Despite turbulent  economic
times,  they  stayed  the  course  by  encouraging  their community  to  stay  focused  and  strong.   By extending  our
support, and yours, through  this  award, we hope to empower community leaders, elders, neighbors and law enforcement
to join us in honoring your nominees as community Heroes.

Founded  by  a  local  businessman  and  retired military veteran, Mr. Rai' Raiford began  forming  this  award  in  2006.
He has  supported various non-profits and profit  organizations  around  the  Metropolitan  area  for many years.  Mr.
Raiford felt  that  not  enough  was  being  done  to  recognize  just  ordinary people, who spend their time helping others.
The only way to change  this  error,  was to start his own community base award, and the Raiford Community Service
Award was established.

The Raiford Community Service Award medal is a brilliant silver alloy star burst design.  The medal consists  of  twelve
rubies  for  each of the astrological signs, and has no other symbolism  but to  add value to the medal.  The design was
chosen to represent our community  Heroes as stars.  We  all see them brightly in the nights sky, but they shine even
brighter during the day as well.

We will began excepting nominations for the  2012 Raiford Community Service Award on September 1, 2011 and will end
on February 22, 2012.   Please  feel  free  to  email  us  for  a nomination package.  Yes, you can nominate  up  to  two
individuals  for  this  award.    There  is  a  non-refundable  $25.00 administration fee for each person you nominate.
